This biography tells the story of Mildred Babe Didrickson Zaharias, a woman who has been called the greatest woman athlete in the first half of the twentieth century. Born June 26, 1914 in South Texas, Babe grew up in poverty. As she grew up, she excelled at every sport she played, but was always told that she shouldn't play sports because it wasn't very ladylike.
